About Us

Water Grows is a partnership established in 2009 between the Texas Corn Producers (TCP) and the USDA’s
Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Texas.

Together, we champion the importance of water
conservation, and the innovative solutions farmers are adopting to conserve water in Texas.

Texas Corn Producers

Our mission at Texas Corn Producers is to be a trusted resource that resolves challenges and creates economic opportunities for Texas corn farmers.

Natural resources conservation service (Texas)

At the Natural Resources Conservation Service, we have a proud history of supporting Texas’ farmers, ranchers and forest landowners by providing financial and technical assistance to help protect natural resources and meet their unique conservation needs .

Why we’re doing this
together

Ongoing drought conditions and an aging water infrastructure are key contributors to the sharp decline of available groundwater in Texas. In response, farmers are working hard.

Bridging expertise

By combining TCP’s agricultural insights with NRCS’s conservation knowledge, we create practical solutions that work for Texas farmers. This partnership ensures that water conservation strategies are both environmentally sound and economically viable.

Amplifying impact

Together, we reach more farmers and implement more effective water conservation practices than either organization could achieve alone. Our combined networks and resources allow us to share success stories, demonstrate innovative techniques, and accelerate the adoption of water-smart farming practices.

Supporting Texas agriculture

Water conservation is crucial for the future of Texas agriculture. Our partnership helps farmers access the latest conservation technologies, funding opportunities, and technical assistance, ensuring they can maintain productive operations while protecting water resources for future generations.

Building resilient communities

Beyond the farm, our work strengthens rural communities by promoting sustainable agricultural practices. We help create a future where Texas agriculture continues to thrive while preserving our state’s water resources for all Texans.

Acomplishments

Productivity growth is our opportunity to increase output without increasing inputs and incurring these costs.
